not sure who made this but my friend Rosie shared it and I’m so happy to be seeing it today.

It’s been super busy here for me recently, especially this week, lots of new projects in the works, and now I’m off to visit friends and family in California and England! Finally going to have some long overdue beach time! à bientot!

I feel on fire lately. Feels good to be back from wherever I was. A good vacation really helps. My friend Alex has this expression about people, things, etc.. being on fire, and I am feeling it. Which is good because there are only a million projects flying my way right now. Started reading Fran Lebowitz’s Metropolitan Life after watching her documentary recently, (finally!) loooved it, add her to the new list of heroes! Not sure who this amazing images is by.. anyone?
photo by Aitor Saavedra for Macarena Adell thanks Patricia for the image info!

Back from another little holiday.. totally getting used to french holidays and loving that my birthday lands on the day before an official day off here. We had a little celebration with friends, balloons, decorations and heart melting surprises from David, and the most amazing birthday cake anyone’s ever made me! (** with the exception of my mom of course) My cake was made by the incredibly talented Alison, who makes cakes and other treats for Candelaria, among many other very cool things. She made it based on a picture David gave her of a cake I really wanted, and I couldn’t have been happier. I just wish I had shot a better photo of it, on top there was the most beautiful pink meringue with rainbow colored sprinkles and hints of glitter.. can you tell I love beautiful cakes a little too much..? A big thank you to all my friends for making it a super nice night!

Love this collection, it’s perfect for LA winters, but even better for winter to spring transition time in colder climates like Paris! Love the layered Japanese style to it.

I’m heading up north to work on a project with friends. Back in a few days.

Part of the insanity that’s been happening around here lately was a large order of flag necklaces I was working on. Sometimes having a tree in your life is a very practical solution for keeping so many necklaces from getting tangled together. More project updates soon!

Congrats to Mademoiselle robot, the winner of the Miss Lonelyhearts giveaway! send me an email with your address.
Thanks again to Miss Lonelyhearts!
I absolutely LOVE these floral additions to the Acne Dover St. fete. Images from YS + ACNE.

Been busy working.. back soon!
