Love this behind the scenes video of Proenza Schouler’s Fall campaign, reminds me of back to school campaigns in the 80′s but in the best possible way. Much more compelling than the ads themselves. Love the music by Washed Out too!
Finally I can share with you some of the exciting projects I was working on a few months ago. I styled a shoot for the beautiful Spanish brand Masscob photographed by the lovely Lina Scheynius, and filmed by the amazing Anotine Ricardou. It was so much fun shooting in Spain. I even made a little cat friend named Galileo who you can see wearing a Liberty print bowtie in the film. You can check out even more images on my new site, including the look book for I styled for the brand here.
all photos by L.S. except the last photo by me.
For the next month at Le Bon Marché a new collection of my flag necklaces and pins will be for sale as part of L’Esprit Factory, a space filled with temporary freight container boutiques by 0fr, ACNE, Surface to Air, Kitsune + more! So exciting! If you are in Paris and want to check it out there will be an opening there on the 1st. There is even a film of vignettes made by David + Alex, where you can see some of the things I’ve been working on in my studio, along with other artists and designers whose creations are featured in the 0fr Esprit Factory shop.
0fr Boutique at Le Bon Marché, opening!

Made my night! Thank you Tracy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! made by blue, this is what behind the scenes should be and more! Now I know where those beautiful magazine images of rainbows and bird silhouettes originally came from.
Just checked out the new Contributor Magazine and discovered among many other great things, this behind the scenes look at a shoot Wes Anderson did for a commercial. Love that he always has his crew with him.
Unrelated to Wes, but I’m very jealous of this photo from Contributor mag.. I could go for a stack of pancakes at the Chateau right now.
I love these beautiful cakes I came across last weekend for Dorade magazine at OFR. They looked too good to eat. Who knew among all the other things that go on there, they have tea and cake on Sundays. David has been creating some vignettes of their events recently that you can view here.
Sometimes you need to check in a little more often and dig a little deeper, look at these little treasures I discovered from Stella and Lula’s sites..
Recently exploring the Stella McCartney site, I discovered Stella’s flicks, which includes inteviews, behind the scenes clips, and some short arty films made for the brand with some very beautiful imagery worth checking out here.
From flickr I found these images below on Lula’s scrapbook, a sort of blog for Lula magazine featuring images sent in from specially curated guests.
Also don’t miss this interview with Hope Sandoval. I missed her concert here in Paris while I was in LA. I heard the projections were amazing!
Too beautiful for words, this film byVanessa Bruno featuring Lou Doillon, is truel ethereal. I am in love with this collection even more now than ever. She has managed to create the ideal world in this film for her brand, which is beyond beautiful. The film I believe is by Mark Borthwick since he shot the photos for this campaign. (**found out the film is not by mark borthwick but it’s still amazing. ) It’s definitely making it impossible to stay away from the Vanessa Bruno shops here in Paris. Can’t wait to see what she does next.
After seeing Eco Trip I discovered another amazing show by Isabella Rossellini, there is never usually much tv in my life but these are only 2 minutes long and you can watch them online. They’re a little bizarre but this show has amazing sets and costumes, and is a pretty funny production.
Go see this film Food Inc! I just went to see this and was surprised by how much I didn’t even know about, especially when I consider myself to be fairly conscious of my food and environment. Even if you don’t live in the US, it’s still really important to see what’s happening to our food here, and to help prevent it from spreading to other parts of the world. Especially in France, it might help to prevent the ban on genetically modified seeds from being lifted.
Also while on this topic, check out Eco Trip, it’s entertaining and fascinating to see what goes into making things and their large scale impact.
I just watched the Peter Beard documentary last night Peter Beard Scrapbooks: Africa and Beyond. His work, particularly his collaged journals, has always been an inspiration to me, I keep quite a few of my own. This film was a very short introductory peak into his life and his work, but still intriguing nonetheless. I loved seeing the guy who paints all the interesting animals and characters on a lot of his photographs and watching his very natural approach to doing fashion photo shoots.
Below is a clip that’s not part of the documentary but is brilliant and features some of his past subjects brought to life on film.
