I love Kokon Tozai so much I went to the shop in both Paris and London. It looks like they are changing their website right now. Hopefully it will be back up soon. In the meantime check out the design site EAT SLEEP WORK PLAY which created really awesome work for Kokon Tozai. I really like the simple way they chose to display their work.

this is great
I want these to actually be produced! Imagine carrying that as a lunch briefcase along with beautiful stacked bento boxes filled with a well packed lunch. Sitting somewhere with a view of the Seine while you take your 2 hour break with a small carafe of wine in Paris.

I went to see Bat For Lashes at the Knitting Factory last night. Her voice is incredible in person. It was such a great show. I forgot my camera and had to rely on the iphone which does not work quite as well at a distance in the dark, especially when they are backlit. She looked every bit as amazing in person as she does in photos though so here is a better photo I found. Also check out her newly redesigned site here

Right now I’m in the middle of moving from LA to NYC so my posts may be a bit absent for the next week or two until I get there and have my computer set up.

I recently went to my friend Ryan’s house for a party. It is the most amazing place! It used to be a hunting lodge and all the walls inside have wood paneling. Some of the panels slide to reveal secret hidden shelves where alcohol was stored during prohibition. It’s the perfect place for bands to play and to have parties. At Christmas there was a party there and it was decorated so beautifully (sadly I didn’t bring a camera along that time). A folk band played that night called Drakkar Sauna and they were so good David bought all of their albums.
