I don’t know very much about Tomoaki Shimizu, he appears to maybe be involved in fashion, but I saw his pile of cute bears and other animals in a magazine spread on kawaii a long time ago and then I just discovered a photo of the same thing in this Japanese guide to Paris I just bought and there was a blog address! It appears that he collects and saves old toys and cleans them up. It’s so sweet! I love the photos of the teddy bears getting a bath haha.
Hope you can spend the day up in a tree wearing a beautiful outfit like this too. I know I wish I could. This is one of my very favorite fashion images of all time. Maria Carla is so pretty, I saw her in Whole Foods last week with my friend Phyllis and we were in awe.
Pretty colors from Poltock and Walsh’s Spring lookbook. I need that collar piece from the top image, I don’t know what for exactly but I need it, it’s so beautiful I would try to find somewhere to wear it.
I love all of the bright colors of spring this season. It was so much fun when I went to a Pop Rally DFA Dance party opening for the MOMA’s color chart show and everyone was dressed in super bright colors and taking photos in front of giant bright colored pieces in the museum. Since I hadn’t seen the actual invitation, which said to wear colorful attire, I started thinking wow this bright color trend has really taken off! I soon realized it was just part of the theme, but there is a definite brightness of attire out there in shops right now, and everyone at the MOMA seemed to be enjoying having an excuse to wear the brightest hues possible. My friend Justin Miller from DFA records dj’d, there was an open bar, they handed out colorful totes at the end of the night, and it was a great time. There should be more museum parties like this. Now if only I had one of these great outfits above to wear to it, it could have been even better. haha
images above from top to bottom: orange Jil Sander dress from Ten Magazine, ‘Harlequin’s Carnival’ set design by Damien Poulain, Dior Homme outfit from Purple Magazine, ‘floor piece’ pink box by Hreinn Fridfinnsson (not at MOMA), white dress from Chloe S/S 08 + pop rally tote bag.
I was able to take a peak at the new issue of Jalouse that just came out, and it is so good! There are too many things to put up you just have to go out and buy it, but I loved this article featuring Valentine Fillol Cordier in her place filled with all her beautiful things strewn about, so I just had to share this.
