rainbow tutu

I wish I had more opportunities to dress up in fancier attire, I have so many dresses that just sit in the closet..wish I could wear them much more often without it being weird, “the way I saw it, the problem wasn’t my outfit, but my context…” -David Sedaris, from his new book When You Are Engulfed in Flames

Black Noise White Rain Assembly Chronicles of Never Party

Assembly mens shop LES NYC

Chronicles of Never Spring Summer 09 collection

Tuesday night I went to a party at Assembly and discovered Chronicles of Never. Only mens pieces were there, but they looked great, really nice shoes, too crowded to take my own photos.. clothing images are via Refinery 29 If you haven’t been to Greg’s store yet, it’s amazing, full of great vintage and new mens clothes and there’s plenty that I would even wear, so it’s not really just all for guys.

My Neighbor Totoro

Totoro Forest

Totoro forest artwork

I wish I knew about this sooner, I would have loved to contribute some Totoro inspired artwork. Miyazaki’s films are a huge inspiration to me.
Artwork is up for auction by a variety of artists in order to raise money to help save the Sayama forest in Japan, which inspired Hayao Miyazaki to create Totoro. So you know it must be a pretty magical place. Artwork shown by Enrico Sarosa, James Robertson, Jackson Sze and Kevin Dart.
