It’s beach bbq bonfire and pool party time! A little inspiration for any summer activities this weekend. Sometimes the more you try harder not to go out so much the more you end up going. The past few weeks have been a little crazy I need a vacation from summer vacation already.

the Selby Julia Restoin-Roitfeld accessories

What I loved seeing more than Julia Restoin-Roitfeld’s place was her accessories, and that chair is beautiful too. Also from the Selby are these amazing Pierre Hardy shoes from Jacqueline Perrett’s place and those watercolored skateboard decks in Jonathan and Annie Zawada’s place. Of course skateboards and chairs aren’t necessarily accessories but what a beautiful collection of objects these make. all images by the selby.

Peter Beard documentary

I just watched the Peter Beard documentary last night Peter Beard Scrapbooks: Africa and Beyond. His work, particularly his collaged journals, has always been an inspiration to me, I keep quite a few of my own. This film was a very short introductory peak into his life and his work, but still intriguing nonetheless. I loved seeing the guy who paints all the interesting animals and characters on a lot of his photographs and watching his very natural approach to doing fashion photo shoots.
Below is a clip that’s not part of the documentary but is brilliant and features some of his past subjects brought to life on film.

Gilt Group Chloe Sale

So I normally don’t post things like this, but this is a good one. These sales are crazy and there is actually good stuff. Gilt Group is an online sale site for clothes and accessories by tons of different designers, Chloe is on sale right now, Marc Jacobs… Loeffler Randall starts soon.. If you want to sign up for it, you can get an invite from me here.
It’s free and at least fun to browse. David found a great pair of Band of Outsiders shoes for 70% off! The sales only last for 36 hours but they are amazing!

Kate Moss Balenciaga Comme des Garcons Scout Holiday

Scout Holiday

Scout Holiday

I think that is probably one of my favorite Kate Moss moments, with her hair super blonde and super short and wearing that unforgettable Balenciaga collection. No real reason for the black and white theme this week, it just sort of started and then reminded me of all these great images. Pretty perfect inspiration for the in-between weather right now.

Found my Animal leashes and collars

I love these rope leashes by Found My Animal. Aside from being the best looking leash I’ve seen, 25% of their profits supports the Louis Animal Foundation, a non-profit that works towards finding homes for animals in need. I think Scout needs one of these in tan!
