Hadley Holliday paintings

Love these rainbow-like paintings by artist Hadley Holliday and am so happy she commented on my post on Bea’s home which contains one of her pieces so that I was able to learn about her work.

*Hadley is having a show at Solway Jones gallery in LA opening on September 11th. Sadly I will miss it, but if you’re in LA go check it out!

Iko Iko echo park Mark Borthwick
Iko Iko echo park

Mark Borthwick comes to Echo Park??! This is crazy. I can’t wait. IKO IKO is a relatively new shop in Echo Park that so far has had so many fun events it’s crazy, ikebana classes, felting workshops, art shows and more. Owner Kristin Dickson, from the line Rowena Sartin, seems to have curated quite a special place here, which I’ve been meaning to make it over to to check out but haven’t been home in one place so long. Looks great though. She was also sweet enough to send me over a little beautifully wrapped gift complete with a note handwritten on old floral wallpaper. amazing! I am really looking forward to checking out the shop and seeing this performance.

This week I’m cleaning up and preparing to move and make room in my closet for better things ahead and more winter wear. I seem to find myself doing more pre-fall cleaning than spring cleaning.

wine labels

photo booth]

Some photos I’ve been gathering together of the party, taken by our incredible photographer friends Lili and James. It was such a beautiful night!
My month of preparations is over from making all these tiny paper cranes, driftwood birds, painted flags and tablecloths, silkscreened napkins, making my dress, designing invitations and custom wine labels (with a little borrowed background illustration from here that I loved too much not to use), and hanging lanterns, lights, ribbons and streamers..
More photos from James here and here.
