On Le Shelf

On the shelves of Olympia le Tan. So many brilliant covers, good books and book clutches that I would love to have! I see we share a love of Totoro and Studio Ghibli too.

Garance Dore’s beautiful Chanel photo was too good not to post again. It’s always so nice to see more than just straight on runway shots. The way the clothes move tells you so much more.
Above is the Chloe outfit I am in love with. Lots of imaginary shopping running through my head..

Couldn’t resist sharing this! Camille Bidault Waddington is my favorite stylist. I wrote about her amazing sense of color and style before, but it definitely transcends her work. Her home and personal style are equally amazing. I am completely inpsired! Can’t get enough of these features!

Pony carriage cars, last picnics of the season with friends and cozy spaces.. and more amazing details on the streets

Latest sights and scenes here in Paris. Sunny days, good friends and good food.. Last weekend I discovered the crepe man. He is awesome, dancing away to some Lou Reed while shaking spices on to each crepe made one at a time, which are totally worth the wait! Also homemade strawberry mint ice cream made with french yogurt is amazing, I need to find one of these magical machines. to be cont..

I am still digesting what is happening with fashion lately. I haven’t been super excited by magazines, I was more interested in watching the street style once again at shows but even that is maybe showing a sign of the times. It’s a rough market but I think/hope things will have to change soon but I just wish it wasn’t all so the same! That said, I did loooove some things and it definitely feels like a time to be excited by the simplistic (as well as those last few insanely amazing dresses from Comme des Garçon and couture like pieces from Balenciaga). I don’t think you need to go over the top to have a refreshing and creative collection. Perfect example of perfection is the Chloe show! I am currently scheming on how I could possibly save enough pennies to buy one of the Chloe looks that I am obsessed with owning. Which of course is ridiculous and a bit shallow but it is a really dreamy outfit. I also want so many of those Kenzo pieces, I love the jacket layering.

Have a relaxing one like Maru!

The New Self Service. Loved the really sweet Jane Birkin essentials feature, and that leather Hermes hat!

Here’s are some more photos and better yet a video of what wasn’t visible from the look photos, amazing sets and Jason Schwartzman on drums! As mentioned before, my talented friend Adrian Rubi-Dentzel worked on creating all of the sets for the Kenzo show. What I didn’t realize was that they were designed by the AMAZING Faye Toogood, whose work I love. Thanks Danielle for the video!

Too tired to post this last night, working late.. Gleaming snow white runway carpet with some bright and woodland colors to the clothes, a slightly new feminine look for YSL.
