New work I’ve been meaning to share.. I recently designed the interior of Le Mary Celeste, a new oyster/cocktail/natural wine bar in the Marais here in Paris.
This place was a very different blank office space previously.
Now it is the best spot to grab a drink on a grey day, at least in my opinion. ; ) See more photos here. Typography and furniture designs by David Rager, collages by Rosemarie Auberson, glass window designs by me, textiles by Krissy Morrisson, and ceramic lamps by Heather Levine.

I can’t tell you enough how inspired I am by the elegant, fun, and sophisticated style of sisters Phoebe and Annette Stephens who together formed the label Anndra Neen while on a trip to Japan. What better place to be inspired to start something! Annette and Phoebe grew up in Mexico City and now live in New York, and their style could not be a better mix of these places.

Today is Earth Day, (or maybe yesterday, there seems to be discrepancies with the official date).. Either way I hope everyone is at the very least recycling today, or using a reusable water bottle, (which saves an average of 166 plastic bottles a year!), or buying all natural toxin-free soap, (or more beautiful handmade soap), or checking out books like this one for amazing tips for at home.
There are so many easy things you can do, check out more resources and info here on The Ecology Center’s new site I helped develop. Get familiar with easy ways you can make a difference, not just for the planet but your own health too! Those two things are surprisingly more related than you could imagine : )
I recently came across the beautifully crafted work of Line Sander Johansen via instagram. I absolutely love her line, Line Sander.
For her ss/13 collection titled Replica, she used only “remedies in the home, such as kale, tea, coffee and old inc pens. Just things lying around” as dyes. I love the simplicity of her inspiration books, and the description of the basis of the collection reminds me of the little things I love about traveling
“scraps of material, leftovers, scents and places. A traveler’s belongings. The poesy within a crumbled collar, sleeve or dress. The allure of a woman’s journey. The scraps, the sticks, the stones, – things a traveler carries, blissfully reminding her of the places she visited.”
A beautiful photo by Takashi Homma for the new Cosmic Wonder Light Source publication “Harmonic Edition”
Went to visit this amazing shop with my dream team of friends in LA. What a magical place! Full of overwhelmingly beautiful inspiration. Owner Christina Kim has curated such a beautiful gallery-like space in her downtown loft. We all couldn’t help taking a million photos of this super inspiring space.
Things are moving quickly around here. Trying to get better with updating the blog and sharing everything that has been happening lately.
Not so patiently waiting for spring.. Is Europe really freezing and becoming uninhabitable?
Longing for the days when every single outfit doesn’t look exactly the same (layers and layers under my coat..)
On my last day in LA, Claire, Lili, Lauren and I had a craft day together, where we were also joined by the wonderful Leigh of Synonym Journal. All I can say is that it was such a nice day and exactly what I needed. These girls are the best and I feel so lucky to know them.
We had a beautiful lunch in Claire’s backyard, and then took inspiration from a book Claire picked up in Paris and did some printmaking with fruits, vegetables, seeds, leaves and more. I left LA that day so inspired but with a heavy heart having to leave behind this beautiful collective of dear friends.
Can’t you just feel the sun in these photos?
