There is a really great exhibition of work by graphic designer Irma Boom at the Netherlands Institute in Paris right now until Dec 15th. Sadly the institute is closing at the end of the year, and I just found out about it!
The exhibition shows a multitude of different books designed by Boom, from Shelia Hicks Weaving as Metaphor (which I finally picked up in the shop), to Chanel books with crazy packaging and embossing, to museum catalogs and more! Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Paris and love books or design.

Gianni Caravaggio art

Gianni Caravaggio art

Just discovered the work of Gianni Caravaggio, an Italian born artist raised in Germany. Some of his work made me think of Lauren Spencer King’s work which I also love so much. Completely blown away by that first piece!

Lauren Spencer King artwork

While I was in LA I was lucky enough to get to see Lauren Spencer King’s studio show of new work. Scheduled around the new moon in scorpio from sunrise to sunset, I caught the sunset which reflected so beautifully in some of the pieces on view. I have to say the sunset made the silver painting one of my favorites!

ARTS RE STORE LA WESTWOOD HAMMER MUSEUM

If you haven’t already been to visit the amazing shops that are part of ARTS RE STORE LA in Westwood, go check them out before they’re gone!
The UCLA Hammer museum received a $100,000 grant to create Arts ReSTORE LA: Westwood, a project that is currently taking over multiple empty storefronts in Westwood and filling them with pop-up shops currated by LA artisans.
Featuring an incredible line up of people who make up an amazing community of creators in LA right now, there are multiple shops full of so many good things to buy and see, from Iko Iko, Dosa, Weltenbuerger & Ermie, Bookstand, Heather Levine, and so many more! There are even concerts and workshops happening here throughout the month so take advantage of this rare moment to participate in a really amazing project, which will hopefully encourage more things like this to happen throughout the city. Up until November 24th.
