Very excited to share this TEDx talk featuring my dear friend, and founder of The Ecology Center, Evan Marks, who is always an inspiring and positive force to be around.

I came across the work of artist Claire Oswalt via instagram recently, and was instantly a fan of her work! Combining minimalist collaging of watercolors on torn paper and old book pages, shows such a beautiful simplicity in delicate forms. She is also one half of Hopewell, whose quilts I am also a fan of.Check out more of her work here.
In love with so many pieces from this lookbook!
Barnabé Fillion is a french perfumer, known as a “nez” en français, whom I’ve had the pleasure to work with and get to know here in Paris. He is a unique character who not only works on creating commercial scents, but does natural and custom scents as well. I wish I could share scents via the web because they are truly beautiful and unlike so many scents you find out there. I am not a huge fan of perfumes to begin with due to the fact that I avoid knowingly putting horrible chemicals into my body, so when I find a natural scent, (that is actually only natural ingredients) I get extra excited. I have the Von Sono colaboration scent that Barnabé made and absolutely love it!
Barnabé has recently launched his website and also created a scent for The Broken Arm boutique here in Paris, whose trio I have also had the pleasure of working with and getting to know over the last couple years. The TBA scent is beautifully bottled and available now in their boutique, and of course smells wonderful.
I first discovered Barnabé’s work in New York years ago in an issue of Bloom magazine that had samples of his scents based on different places. This is something that is part of his unique approach to scents, it usually comes from a special place or point of inspiration that no one else would have thought of. His background as a model, photographer and stylist also come into play in his very visual approach to scent. Read more about him on his site here.
Wishing everyone a beautiful new year!
