Inspiring Spaces

You know that feeling when you walk into someone’s home and feel completely warm and inspired? Not so many places have this certain glow to it. I was lucky to have met Beatrice and Ramsey, whose home is shown above. It instantly has this very comfortable and beautiful feeling to it, before you even step inside. Beatrice was so sweet to let me come by one afternoon and photograph their place to share it with all of you. They are an incredibly talented and creative couple, which is apparent in both their home and their work. I’ll share more about what Ramsey does later this week.
I especially love all of the artwork, each piece has such a personal touch and is mostly done by friends of theirs who are artists, and the beautiful ceramics and weaving made by Beatrice that is subtly placed throughout their home is incredible. It’s inspiring to see how when you stay in a place long enough, you have all of these beautiful small details that each tell their own stories and culminate into a bigger picture and feeling.

Wow. I love the art hanging behind the bed in that nook… And the soft tones used in the artwork and peppered throughout the space… Inspiring indeed! I want to go and curate my own space even more than usual…

Very cool! And it actually looks lived-in, which is doubly appealing.

I agree, an oasis amidst the LA basin strain.
I remember when Beatrice ripped up the carpet and left just the glue of the concrete floor… it adds to the charm and I enjoy sitting around in my bare feet.

I felt the same way the first time I went to Bea and Ramsey’s place. It was like a breath of fresh air. Plus, I love Florentino Ariza, their cute little yellow canary. xx
